SHRIMP ORIENTAL | |
2 lbs. jumbo shrimp, deveined 2 lg. green peppers, cut in strips 1 lg. red pepper, cut in thin strips 1 bunch spring onions, cut in 1/4 inch pieces 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. Heinz 57 sauce 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1/2 c. rice vinegar 1 c. hot water 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1 tbsp. oil 1 tsp. A-1 sauce Heat wok to high temperature. Add 1/4 cup rice, vinegar, and oil. Heat until it starts to boil. Add pepper and onions. Saute until crisp-tender. Add shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes. Remove from wok and set aside. Add 1/4 cup rice vinegar and 1 cup hot water, soy sauce, A-1 sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Heinz 57 sauce. Mix in 1 tablespoon cornstarch to thicken. Add salt and pepper and shrimp mixture. Cook on low until warmed through. Serve over hot rice. |
