SLOW COOKER SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. sweet ground sausage
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 - 1 lb. cans tomatoes, cut up
8 oz. can tomato sauce
12 oz. can tomato paste
1 c. beef bouillon broth
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. oregano
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown meat, onion and garlic. Drain the fat. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cook at low for 6 to 8 hours.

If you do not have a stove, can meat or poultry be browned in slow cooker, on high, using a bit of Olive oil?

Hi Norma,

Most slow cookers don't have a high enough heat setting to actually brown meat. Check your instructions, though, because some slow cookers have a browning function or a removable insert that allow foods to be browned on the stovetop.
