SESAME SEED COOKIES | |
3 sticks soft butter 2 c. sugar 6 lg. eggs 2 tbsp. vanilla 6 c. flour 6 tsp. baking powder Cream together butter and sugar. Mix well and add eggs and vanilla. Mix together and add flour and baking powder. You now have cookie dough. Take some of the dough and roll it out, until it is about the size of your thumb. Then cut into approximately 3" long. Put some sesame seed on the table and roll your dough over the seeds. Next put on greased cookie sheet and put into preheated 375 degree oven. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. NOTE: You should use roasted sesame seeds. Can ice the cookies instead of using sesame seeds. Mix powdered sugar and milk together and may add some vanilla. Ice while still warm. Can use food coloring in icing if you wish. |
