7 UP POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. solid shortening
5 eggs
3 c. plain sifted flour
7 oz. 7 Up
1 tsp. lemon extract
1/2 tsp. coconut extract

Blend sugar, butter and shortening. Add one egg at a time, beating well after addition. Add flour and 7 Up alternately. Beat after each addition and then beat well at high speed for a few minutes. Add extract. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Glaze while warm.
