MANDARIN ORANGE LETTUCE SALAD 
Melt 4 tablespoons sugar in Teflon pan over very low heat and then add 1/2 cup walnuts (chopped). Stir to coat. Pour on buttered foil and spread apart with fork. Cool.

DRESSING:

1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 c. oil
2 tbsp. sugar
Pepper to taste

Mix and stand a few minutes.

1 head lettuce, shredded
1 c. celery, chopped
1 tbsp. minced parsley
2 green onions, chopped (tops also)
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
1/2 c. sugared nuts

Pour dressing over above and mix.
