CHOCOLATE ALMOND TORTE 
1 c. soft butter
1 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
4 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
2 c. toasted almonds, slivered

Blend together the soft butter and powdered sugar. Add the eggs and blend well. Melt chocolate squares and cool thoroughly. Then add to mixture and blend until it gets light in color.

Toast slivered almonds and cool well before adding to the above. Spread on a cookie crumb crust (vanilla, wafers and butter). I bake the crust a little to firm it up. Refrigerate. Serve with whipped cream. Be sure everything is cold before you add it.
