MOM'S BIG BATCH OF WHITE COOKIES | |
4 c. white sugar 4 eggs 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. nutmeg 2 c. shortening 2 c. sour cream 12 c. flour 4 tsp. baking powder Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs, beat well. Blend soda into sour cream. Add sifted dry ingredients. May add any flavoring you wish. Roll. Cut any shape or size. Bake at 350 degrees. As kids, we loved the triangle wedges that were left over from the circles. That's why she always made a "big batch." She sprinkled white sugar on top of the rolled dough. |
