PORK ADOBO | |
2 lb. pork roast, cut into 1 inch cubes 2 lg. cloves garlic, minced 1/4 c. vinegar 1 lg. bay leaf 1 whole pepper corn, crushed 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tsp. brown sugar 1 1/2 c. water Saute pork in hot oil with garlic. When browned, add rest of ingredients. Simmer until tender. Taste juice, if sour add sugar, if flat, add soy sauce. When done, use juice to make gravy, adding 1-2 tablespoons flour (water can be added if necessary). Serve over rice. Serves 6-8. Chicken can also be used instead of pork. |
