PEAR BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. yogurt or buttermilk
1 c. chopped pears
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter gradually beat in sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Combine dry ingredients add to egg mixture, alternately stir in pears and vanilla.

Pour into 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake 1 hour.
