PEANUT BUTTER SQUARES | |
35 chocolate sandwich cookies, finely crushed 1/3 c. butter, melted 1 pkg. (5 1/4 oz.) instant vanilla pudding mix 2 c. milk 1 1/4 c. crunchy peanut butter 1 tub (8 oz.) frozen whipped dessert topping Combine crushed cookies with melted butter. Reserve 1/4 cup mashed cookies for topping. Press remaining cookie mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes. Cool completely. Prepare pudding mix according to package directions using only 2 cups of milk. Immediately stir in peanut butter. Fold in dessert topping. Spread mixture evenly over cooled crust. Top with reserved cookie mixture. Cover and chill overnight. Cut in squares. Makes 16 servings. Note: Melted chocolate can be drizzled over the top instead of cookie crumbs. |
