1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 c. crunchy peanut butter
3 c. plain flour
Hershey's kisses
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. baking soda

Thoroughly cream shortening, vanilla and sugar. Add eggs, beat thoroughly. Stir in peanut butter. Sift in dry ingredients. Mix and form tiny balls with hands. Place on greased cookie sheet. Press with back of a fork to make a criss-cross. Dough may also be rolled out and cut. Bake in moderately hot 375 degree oven for 10 minutes. Top each cookie with a Hershey's kiss while still warm.
