APPLE STREUSEL PIE 
PIE:

1 (9 inch) single crust pie shell
6 cups peeled sliced apples
3/4 to 1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 to 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
Dash salt

TOPPING:

3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter

Combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt; toss lightly to mix. Put in pie shell combine topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over apple filling. Bake at 425 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Cover topping with foil last 10 minutes of baking time if top browns too quickly.
