HOT FUDGE SUNDAE CAKE 
1 c. all purpose flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 c. chopped nuts, optional
1/4 c. cocoa
Ice cream
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar
1 3/4 c. hottest tap water

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, the baking powder and salt in ungreased square pan (9 x 9 x 2 inch). Mix in milk, oil, vanilla with fork until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread in pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Pour hot water over batter. Bake 40 minutes. While warm, spoon into dishes and top with ice cream. Spoon sauce from pan onto each serving. Makes 9 servings.
