MONSTER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
1 c. soft butter
3/4 c. white sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chocolate chips
(1/2 c. chopped nuts, if desired)

Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla and stir well. Mix the flour and baking soda together first, then add it to the sugar mixture. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by large spoons onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in sugar. Bake 375 degrees for about 9-10 minutes. Makes about 18 cookies, unless you like to eat cookie dough!

(We've made this recipe for a long time and just recently received an old chocolate chip cookie recipe made by Grandma Kromarek. Just by coincidence, the recipe is almost the same, except Grandma uses Crisco and she has added a hint - when you double the recipe, use 5 1/2 cups of flour, 1 1/2 packages chocolate chips, and no additional salt.)
