FUDGE-TOPPED BROWNIES 
1 c. butter, melted
2 c. sugar
1 c. unsifted flour
2/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
3 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl combine butter, sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, eggs, milk and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla; beat well. Stir in nuts if desired. Spread in greased 13x9-inch pan. Bake 25-40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.

Just before brownies are done, in heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk and remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla. Remove from heat. Immediately spread over hot brownies. Cool. Chill. Cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature. Yield: 36-40 bars.
