NATURAL "EASY" WHOLE WHEAT ROLLS | |
2 pkgs. yeast 4 tbsp. warm water 1 stick butter 1 1/2 c. milk 3 c. stone ground whole wheat flour 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 c. honey 1 tsp. salt 2 c. unbleached flour Dissolve yeast in water. Heat milk to almost boiling. Cool. Add butter, honey, yeast, eggs, salt and flour. Mix well. Cover in refrigerator. Remove 3 to 4 hours before serving. Knead lightly on well floured surface. Roll out to desired thickness and place in greased pan. Let rise until doubled. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Brush with butter if desired. Makes 20 to 25 according to size and cut. |
