BEAN SALAD 
1 (16 oz.) can green string beans or 1 lb. fresh, drained
1 (16 oz.) can yellow string beans or 1 lb. fresh, drained
1 (16 oz.) can chickpeas, drained
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained

Combine: 3/4 c. sugar 2/3 c. vinegar 1/2 c. oil 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper

Place beans in good sized bowl. Pour dressing over the beans. Allow to set at least 4 hours, stirring halfway to make sure all the beans are covered. Store in refrigerator covered. Will keep for a few days.
