FUDGE TOPPED BROWNIES | |
1 c. butter; melted 2 c. sugar 1 c. unsifted flour 2/3 c. Hershey's cocoa 1/2 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs 1/2 c. milk 3 tsp. vanilla extract 1 c. nuts, chopped (optional) 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl, combine butter, sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, eggs, milk and 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla; beat well. Stir in nuts if desired. Spread in grease 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake 40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Just before brownies are done, in heavy sauce pan, over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk and remaining 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Remove from heat. Immediately spread over hot brownies. Cool. Chill. Cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature. |
