COUNTRY POTATO SOUP | |
6 c. cubed potatoes 4 c. milk 1 pkg. frozen California blend vegetables 1 jar Cheez Whiz Cook potatoes in just enough water to cover them until tender. Add vegetables when potatoes are about half done. Cook until nearly tender (5 to 8 minutes). Drain part of water off, if desired. Add milk and heat. Melt Cheez Whiz in microwave (be sure to remove the cover). When melted, add to soup. Thicken with cornstarch and water. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Can add 3 to 4 chicken bouillon cubes to water when cooking potatoes (adds a good flavor). California blend vegetables are broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. |
