CHICKEN ADOBO 
1 whole frying chicken, cut into serving pieces
3-4 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 med. onion, sliced
10 peppercorns, crushed or 1/2 tsp. ground pepper
1 bay leaf

Place chicken in Dutch oven or large saucepan. Add all ingredients. Bring to a boil on medium setting. Reduce heat to very low setting and simmer for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender. Stir occasionally during cooking.
