3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oats
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
3/4 c. nuts

Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes. Add brown sugar, white sugar and butter. Stir until butter melts. Add eggs; mix well. Add dry ingredients and 1/2 chocolate chips. Pour into pan. Sprinkle remaining chips and nuts over top of cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
