CANDIED WALNUTS 
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. sour cream

Cook together slowly over low heat to 223 degrees (soft ball). Stir constantly, will scorch easily. Remove from heat and add 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1 pound whole walnuts. Stir to coat. Pour out on foil or wax paper. Spread a part can be stored covered lightly in refrigerator for 4 months.
