SHREDDED WHEAT BREAD 
6 lg. Shredded Wheat biscuits

Break into pieces

Pour over shredded wheat. Let stand until cool.

Dissolve 1 package yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Let stand for 5 minutes. 1/2 c. molasses 3 tbsp. shortening 5 tsp. salt 8 c. sifted flour 1 c. chopped nuts, optional

Mix scalded milk with shredded wheat mixture. Cool until lukewarm. Then add yeast mixture, molasses, shortening, salt, flour and nuts. Mix well.

Turn on lightly floured surface. Knead for 5 minutes. Return to bowl, cover with cloth and let rise until doubled. Cut in half, shape into loaves. Place in well greased loaf pans. Let rise again until doubled. Bake 45-60 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool on wire rack. Makes 2 loaves.
