PEANUT BUTTER CRISS CROSSES 
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 c. peanut butter
3 c. enriched flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda

Thoroughly cream shortening, vanilla, and sugar. Add eggs; beat thoroughly. Stir in peanut butter, then sifted dry ingredients. Form into tiny balls with the palms of hands; place on greased cookie sheet. Press with back of a fork to make criss cross. Dough may also be rolled and cut, if desired. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes 50-60 small cookies.
