DATE AND NUT BREAD 
2 c. dates
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. hot coffee

Combine and let stand. 2 tbsp. butter 2 eggs 3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. chopped pecans

Combine sugar and butter; add egg and mix well. Add flour. Add first mixture and beat well. Bake at 325 degrees in angel food pan for 1 hour. You can also cut in half and bake in a regular loaf pan for 1 hour.
