APPLE OATMEAL CRISP 
3 or 4 tart apples
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. quick oats
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. powdered cinnamon

Arrange apples, pared, cored and thinly sliced, in a well buttered shallow baking dish. Melt the butter in. Stir in the sugar, oatmeal and flour and cinnamon until well mixed. Sprinkle over the apples. Bake in oven 350 for 45 minutes until crust is golden brown and apples soft.
