HOMEMADE REFRIED BEANS 
Cook pinto beans in large pan of water until done. Reserve 1/2 cup been broth. In large frying pan. Coat bottom of pan with oil or bacon drippings. Place drained beans with 1/2 cup of broth in pan. With masher, mash beans to desired consistency. Simmer and stir top with sliced or grated Jack or cheddar cheese until melted.
