8 slice bacon 4 hot dogs 1 slice cheese, cut into 4 strips 4 hot dog buns In baking dish, heat bacon between layers of paper towels on high power for 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 minutes or until partially cooked. While this is cooking, cut slot in hot dogs, lengthwise, leaving 1/2 inch uncut on each end. Make an "x" cut in each end. Stuff each hot dog and secure with toothpicks. Discard paper towel from baking dish and arrange hot dogs in dish. Heat for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes on high power or until heated through. Remove from microwave, remove toothpicks and serve on hog dog buns. Can be served with pork and beans, potato chips, relish or pickles. Utensils needed: Sharp knife Cutting board Microwave-safe baking dish Toothpicks Tongs or fork for handling bacon and finished dogs Hot pads Paper toweling NOTE: Be very careful handling the bacon, it's grease becomes very hot when it is cooked. |
