GROUND BEEF AND NOODLE SCALLOP 
8 oz. fine egg noodles
2 to 3 tbsp. oil
2 lg. chopped onions
2 lbs. ground beef
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
8 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (5 oz.) can chow mein noodles

Cook fine noodles according to directions on package and drain. Heat shortening, add onions. Cook about 5 minutes. Add meat and cook until brown.

Mix mushrooms, soup, milk, salt, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Add to meat mixture. Cook about 10 minutes. Place cooked noodles in baking dish. Spread meat mixture over them and top with Cheddar cheese. Heat in 350 degree oven about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chow mein noodles on top. Return to oven uncovered for 15 minutes.
