ICE BOX PICKLES 
8 c. cucumber slices
Kosher salt

BRINE:

1 c. vinegar
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tbsp. dill seed
1 c. thinly sliced onions
1 c. green pepper, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. pickling spice (optional)

Place sliced cucumbers in large flat pan and sprinkle kosher salt on top. Let stand for 2 hours. Mix all the ingredients of brine together. Pour over drained cucumbers. Jar in pints and store in refrigerator or freezer.
