1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. applesauce
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream sugar and shortening. Add beaten egg. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture with applesauce. Add 1 cup of raisins. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes. Yield 3 1/2-4 dozen cookies.
