SUGAR CRUNCH COFFEE CAKE | |
1 pkg. yeast 1/2 c. lukewarm water 2 tbsp. sugar Dissolve yeast in water; add sugar. Set aside. 1 c. lukewarm milk 4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. shortening or oil 1 c. sugar 5 tsp. baking powder Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and mix well. Add yeast mixture and milk. Stir just to combine. Add dry ingredients in 2 additions. Grease 9 x 13 inch pan. Layer half dough then filling; repeat (2 layers of each). Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. FILLING: 1 c. brown sugar 3 tbsp. flour 3 tbsp. soft butter 1 tsp. cinnamon Mix until crumbly. |
