ANISE BREAD SLICES | |
1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 4 eggs 1 c. sugar 3 tbsp. oil 1 tbsp. anisette (optional) 1 tsp. anise seed 1 tsp. anise flavoring Sift baking powder and flour together. In blender container beat eggs and anise seed together until eggs are thick and lemon color. Gradually add sugar and flavorings and oil. Stir in flour mixture. Grease and flour two loaf pans 9x5x3 inch. Pour batter evenly into the two pans. Bake at 350 degrees 25 minutes. Remove to racks and cool. Slice 1/2 inch thick. Place on greased baking sheet. Return to 400 degree oven for 5 minutes. |
