ITALIAN COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs
1 sm. can evaporated milk
6 c. sifted flour
2 tbsp. baking powder

In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together. Blend in vanilla. Add eggs one at a time and mix well after each. Blend in evaporated milk. Next mix in flour and baking powder. Remove dough from bowl and knead lightly for a few minutes. Cover with a piece of wax paper to keep from getting dry as you form cookies. Take a piece of dough, the size of a walnut and roll on a table into a finger size strip. Form it into a know and place on a cookie sheet. Makes about 6 dozen cookies. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. When cookies cool make a glaze icing of confectioners' sugar and warm milk to desired consistency for spreading over cookies. Sprinkle with a few multi colored beaded candies.
