1 sm. pkg. Jello, any flavor (prefer orange)
8 oz. cottage cheese
1 sm. container Cool Whip
1 sm. can crushed pineapple, drained
Sm. jar maraschino cherries (optional)
1/2 c. pecans (optional)

Combine dry Jello, cottage cheese, Cool Whip and pineapple. If desired, add cherries and pecans. Top with 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese. Chill.
