BANANA NUT BREAD 
2 c. self rising flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. sour milk (or sweet milk with 2 tsp. lemon juice)
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Mix in flour alternately with bananas and milk. Add nuts. Pour into well greased and floured loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until done.

Makes 2 loaves.
