SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE FOR SPINACH
BALLS OR ANY MEATBALLS
 
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes (save juice)
1 (14 oz.) can crushed pineapple (save juice)
1 med. onion, sauteed
1 bell pepper, sauteed
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch or tapioca
1/2 tsp. salt

Saute onion and pepper. Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt and add 1/2 juice of both pineapple and tomatoes. B ring to boil stirring all the time, lower heat and stir until thick. Add to sauce big chopped tomato pieces and pineapple then onions and pepper. Heat and put over patties or meatballs.
