CHOCOLATE MERINGUE PIE 
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk, scalded
2 tbsp. butter
1 cooled baked pie shell
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, measure and sift again with sugar, salt, and cocoa. Blend well and add to scalded milk in double boiler. Cook over boiling water until mixture is thick and smooth, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add beaten egg yolks and cook 3 minutes longer. Remove from heat and blend in butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with meringue and bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes or until meringue is set.
