MAGIC PEANUT BUTTER MIDDLES
COOKIE DOUGH
 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar (packed)
1/2 c. butter (softened)
1/4 c. peanut butter (creamy)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

FILLING:

3/4 c. peanut butter (creamy)
3/4 c. powdered sugar

In small bowl combine flour, cocoa and baking soda. Blend well. In large bowl, beat sugars, butter and 1/4 cup peanut butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg; beat well. Stir in flour mixture until blended, set aside. Roll into 50 balls. In a small bowl, combine filling ingredients, blend well. Roll into 50 balls. Shape dough balls around the peanut butter balls until they are completely covered. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes or until set and slightly cracked. Cool on wire racks.
