BANANA NUT BREAD 
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. Robin Hood flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. mashed bananas, about 3
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. chopped walnuts

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs until light. Spoon flour into dry measuring cup. Level off and pour onto waxed paper and add soda and salt to flour. Stir to blend. Add dry ingredients to cream mixture alternately with mashed banana and lemon juice. Stir until all ingredients are moistened. Stir in nuts. Spread in well greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from pan immediately, cool on rack.
