BUTTER PECAN TURTLE COOKIES 
CRUST:

2 c. flour
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened

CARAMEL LAYERS:

2/3 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. pecan halves
1 c. milk chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix crust ingredients. Put in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan and pat firmly. Sprinkle pecans evenly over unbaked crust. Pour caramel layer over pecans and crust. Bake 18-22 minutes or until caramel layer is bubbly. Remove from oven. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate bits. Let chocolate melt and spread evenly.
