GREEN TOMATO PICKLES 
Wash small green tomatoes, leave stems on. Pack in jars. Put 1/2 teaspoon of powder alum in each quart jar. Two heads of dill in each quart.

Can put 1 clove garlic and 1 hot small red pepper. Combine 1 quart of vinegar, 1 teaspoon of curry salt and 3 quarts of water. Heat until boiling. Fill the jars with this hot vinegar liquid.

Wash a green grape leaf or two to put on top. Makes a green color. Seal jars. Takes about 6 weeks for curing.
