JAM PIE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. blackberry jam
4 eggs, separated
4 tbsp. sugar
Unbaked pie crust

Combine sugar, butter, buttermilk, jam and egg yolks; beat very well. Pour into pie crust. Bake in moderate oven until tests done and is firm. Make meringue of egg whites and 4 tablespoons sugar, beaten stiff. Put on top of pie. Brown slightly in oven.
