GARLIC BREAD TO DIE FOR 
1 pkg. (8-oz) cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. grated cheese
fresh garlic (to taste) or garlic in a jar
1 loaf French bread

Preheat oven to 350°F. Let cream cheese and butter soften at room temperature. Blend together butter and cream cheese; add garlic and stir in cheese. Cut loaf of French bread in half; lengthwise. Spread cheese and butter mixture on both halves of bread. Place on cookie sheet face up. Heat in oven for about 10 minutes.
