SIMPLE SAUCE FOR VEGGIES 
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. Tabasco pepper sauce

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently; do not allow to boil. Spoon over vegetable when serving, or place vegetable in a casserole, top with sauce, sprinkle with bread crumbs and place under broiler until crumbs are brown, 1 to 2 minutes. Ideal with cooked fresh asparagus, or broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, green beans, etc. Sauce for 4 to 6 servings.
