RHUBARB CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/3 c. milk
3 c. cut-up rhubarb
1/2 c. nut meats
1/2 c. brown sugar

Prepare flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon, salt, cloves, allspice and shortening as for pie crust. Save 1/2 cup of mix and add 1/2 cup brown sugar. Add eggs and milk to crumble like mixture, stir in rhubarb and nut meats. Pour into 9 x 13 inch pan which has been greased and floured. Mix 1/2 cup mix with brown sugar and sprinkle over cake. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
