CABBAGE SALAD 
1/2 c. slivered almonds
4 c. shredded cabbage
1 (3 oz.) pkg. Ramen-style chicken flavored noodles
1/2 c. oil
3 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. sugar

Toast almonds in 350°F oven on ungreased cookie sheet until golden brown.

Place cabbage in large bowl. Break up Ramen noodles over cabbage and reserve packet of flavoring for dressing. Add cooled almonds.

In separate bowl mix together oil, vinegar, sugar and reserved packet of flavoring. Pour dressing over cabbage and toss gently. Refrigerate until serving time.
