QUICK BEEF SOUP | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 pkg. Hamburger Helper mix for beef noodle 5 c. water 1 bay leaf 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables or 2 c. cooked vegetables Cook and stir ground beef and onion in Dutch oven until beef is brown; drain. Stir in sauce mix, water, bay leaf, salt, pepper and tomatoes with liquid; break up tomatoes with fork. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Stir in noodles and vegetables; cover and cook 10 minutes longer. 5 or 6 servings. |
