MANGO & PEACH PIE | |
1 c. unbleached flour 1/2 c. whole wheat flour 1/4 tsp. salt 4 tbsp. ice water 1/3 c. olive oil or vegetable oil Prepare Crust: Combine flours and salt. Slowly add oil and ice water, blending with a fork until a ball is formed. Roll out and slip into pie plate. 2 lg. peaches 2 tbsp. almond flavoring 3/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. lemon juice Combine mangos, peaches all sliced, with almond flavoring, sugar, nutmeg, lemon juice, cinnamon and flour. Pour into uncooked pie crust. Dot with butter and bake at 425 degrees for 45 minutes. Top with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice milk. |
