ROLLED SUGAR COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix powdered sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla and almond extract. Mix in flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Divide dough into halves. Roll each half 3/16 inch thick on floured board. Cut into shapes with well floured cookie cutters. Bake 375 degrees, 7-8 minutes.
